You got to laugh!

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and … everybody points at you and says, “Hey, look at the stupid grown woman over there crying.” Let’s face it folks, everybody likes to laugh, and nobody really wants to cry … unless you’re in divorce court, then it pays. And another fact; nobody wants to be around people who bring them down.

So don’t cry--laugh it up instead! Laugh for no reason, or for any reason. Laugh because you’re late for work and already know telling your boss, “Sorry, but that bubble bath this morning was soooo relaxing” ain’t gonna make him happy. Laughing sure beats worrying about it. No matter what you’re excuse is, if you’re late, you’re late, and all the worrying in the world isn’t going to change that.

So … laugh about it. If you go into the office smiling instead of frowning, who knows? Your boss may think you were late because you had a job interview, and so he may have his own “worry” fest. Does that thought give you a warm fuzzy or what?

Laugh because it feels good. Laugh because your body could use the relief. Scientist will tell you that laughter is a stress buster. De-stress your mess!

Every single person on earth is born with the natural ability to laugh. Small children have PhD’s in laughter and they laugh because it’s so natural for them, so easy. I have two grandbeauties and all I have to do is make funny noises or faces and they laugh. Wait … you don’t think it’s my face, do you? Hmm…

According to a recent study, toddlers laugh 400 times a day. Adults 15. Hello? What happened? What got in the way? Life? Jobs? Bad marriages? Bad dates or hair days? Stop already…enough excuses.

Here’s your mission for the week. Laugh. Just laugh. And do it for no reason. The more you do, the easier it becomes and there’s more! Laughter has a ripple effect. Don’t believe me? Fair enough. Try this… When you see someone at work walking toward you, start laughing. I guarantee you that when they see you laughing, they’ll immediately smile. They don’t even know why, but the joy you emit is contagious and smiling is a natural reaction. So go out and spread it around. Be a “Joy” donor.

What if the whole world tried this experiment?

Nuff said…

Queen Jaw Jaw’s advice for the week: Wrinkles don’t hurt. Trust me, I know.

"A smile is a whisper of a laugh."
