Living your fabulous life includes a healthy soul in a healthy body. You know that - and in these health and fitness articles you'll get ideas on how to achieve perfect, fabulous health!
A healthy lifestyle is about feeling great and feeling happy. It’s about loving yourself and taking care of yourself. It’s about making your body happy and your muscles laughing.
When I was about fourteen years old I read in a teenage magazine that you’d only have one real worry in your life: Your health. Thirty years later it stills stands true to me! If you ever have been bed struck because of illness you know that’s there only one thing on your mind: To get well.
Living your fabulous life is living a healthy life.
The health and fitness articles will explain that a healthy lifestyle is not only about avoiding illness. It’s about giving your body what it needs to work its best. You can’t sit in front of a computer screen all day and eat junk food and expect your body to feel fabulous. But I don’t believe you’ll feel much better if you force yourself to eat food that you hate just because it’s supposed to be healthy and to go to the gym even when you can’t stand it, simply because you need exercise. I’m sure I’m not the only one who after a holiday with too much drinking and eating have decided to start a new and better life and go from one extreme to another. Suddenly there’s no more coffee, cakes or alcohol, but a strict regime with only herb teas, raw salads and very, very dark bread. How come I feel so miserable after a short while? Try adding some healthy component to your diet instead of depriving yourself of what you love. And if you need inspiration to easy, healthy meals check out these new health and fitness articles, Healthy Fast Food Recipe and Shopping for Healthy Food. Now you'll know what to buy to be able to make an easy, healthy home-cooked meal in no time.
And remember, we need soul food, too! We need to lie on the sofa eating potato crisps, drinking wine and watching Love Absolutely for the fifteenth time. But we don’t need to do it every day. And if we do feel like we need it every day then it’s not the potato crisps or the wine that is the problem, but the life we’re living. Something is missing. That thing – that zest factor – that makes time fly by because you’re so busy doing what you love to have time to eat. That thing that in the end of the day makes you feel satisfied, content, fulfilled - and tired. Living your fabulous life.
Living a fabulous life is also about loving your body. You simply can’t feel great in a body you hate. I'll tell you in the health and fitness articles that exercising is actually a shortcut to feeling better in and about your body. And remember, it's never to late to begin. Read the running log of a fat, middle aged woman (me!) for a start! This summer I got talked into trying Pilates - and got completely hooked. We are meant to move and use our bodies, and if you insist you don't like to exercise I'll insist that there is at least one sport that you have yet to try - and that you'll love!
