What colors create good chi and harmony in your home

Your home is where you relax, get new energy, sleep, eat, socialize with family and friends - shortly - where you live a great deal of your life. A fabulous home is of course also a place with good energy, good chi. In feng shui different colors are used in different areas of your home to help create those gooood vibes.

First of all you need to get out the compass to decide where is south and where is north. Then your make a drawing where you outline your home (draw only the outer walls). If your house our apartment isn't square or rectangle, but has an annex, a bay window or something like that, draw lines on outside of everything sticking out so that you get a square or rectangle.

Divide the drawing into nine squares that you name after the compass direction: north, north-east, east, south-east, south, south-west, west, north-west and center. And now we start coloring!

North is Blue

North is the element of water and the colors that belong here are blue and black. You can also use white. This is the area for your career.

North-East is Beige

In the room or area of your home facing north-east you should use the colors reddish brown, beige and ochre. The element is small earth. This is the area for education.

East is Green

The eastern area of your home belongs to the element of big wood and earth colors like green and brown are good here. You can also use black and blue (as water gives nutrition to the trees), but avoid white and metal. This is the area for health and family relationships.

South East is Green

This is the element of small wood and the colors are green and brown. South East governs wealth and prosperity.

South is Red

The element here is fire and naturally red in all shades belong in this area of your house. You can also use earth colors, as earth gives nutrition to fire, but avoid the colors of water - you know why! This is the area of fame and recognition.

South West is Yellow

The Element is big earth and the colors are beige and yellow. This is the area for romance and marriage.

West is Gold

This area belongs to the element of little metal and the colors you should use here are gold, silver and white, plus ochre. This corner of your home rules the luck of your children.

North West is Silver

Also in this area you should use white, gold and silver, as the north west corner belongs under the element of big metal. This corner is the area for mentors and other people who will help you.

Center is Brown

The center of your home is ruled by earth and here you should use colors in the shades of brown. This is the heart of your home.
